From athletics to soccer, from basketball to fitness, even to rising sports like paddle tennis: MONDO develops innovative solutions to give athletes of every single discipline the conditions to excel. Our method starts from a dialog: that we have daily with athletes, trainers and federations to understand their real needs. We transfer this knowledge to our research laboratories and production sites in order to create concrete responses that are able to improve performance.
Production and control of the supply chain is one of our strongest points, to guarantee products that redefine, year after year, the category standards. MONDO directly produces its own athletic tracks, sports floorings and synthetic turf systems. The facilities in Borja, Spain, Gallo d’Alba in Italy and Foetz in Luxembourg are a unique concentration of technology and experience, where from selected raw materials, cutting-edge finished products are produced, that will be installed in sports facilities throughout the world.
MONDO Sport&Flooring Facility of Gallo d'Alba
Gallo d’Alba, in the Province of Cuneo, is home to the production facility making MONDO athletic tracks. Opened in 1948, the site today counts 150 workers, and uses a completely automated workflow. A covered surface of 40,000 m2 houses the entire production line that begins from reception of the raw materials and follows every step of the transformation, to the creation of a complete track, ready for installation.
The production line of indoor floorings runs parallel to track production at the Gallo d’Alba facility. Here, rubber surfaces dedicated to volleyball, handball and multipurpose courts are born.
The MONDO R&D centers have concentrated their studies on this multi-functional material and its unique characteristics that, in addition to providing excellent performance, ensure elasticity, durability and eco-compatibility.
MONDO Tufting Facility in Borja
Borja, Spain is home to the facility that produces MONDO turfs in synthetic grass. Opened in 2002, the site now extends over a covered surface of approximately 16,200 m2, and produces underlayments for soccer, tennis, padel, rugby and decorative turfs. More than 20 types of yarns are produces within its walls, that are exported to 60 countries. The Borja facility hosts two important laboratories for the research and control of the entire production line, that starts from reception of the raw materials, and follows every step of the transformation, to the creation of finished turfs that are ready for installation.
MONDO Facility of Foetz, Luxembourg
Founded in 1984, the Foetz, Luxembourg facility hosts the production lines specifically dedicated to rubber strength & fitness flooring.
Thanks to its special water-jet system, the facility creates the innovative MONDO surfaces with personalized inlays and Interlock solutions.
The Gallo d’Alba, Foetz (Luxembourg) and Borja (Spain) Research Centers complement the production sites to invent unique and technologically advanced products that can improve performance and safeguard the physical integrity of the athlete, satisfying the requirements of the individual sports and the international standards.
A pool of specialised technicians manage the design phase and partner with clients and dealers in the introduction of the materials in more than 220 countries.
