Founded in 1958, Euroleague is the most important professional male basketball competition in Europe.
Actually operated by ULEB (Union of European Leagues of Basketball), is structured in 4 phases after the Qualifying Rounds.
24 teams partecipate to the Regular Season, but only 16 can access the Top 16 rounds.
In the quarterfinal round, the first-place team from each group is matched against a second-place team from another group in a playoff series.
The Final Four features the winners of the four quarterfinal series in one-off knockout matches. The semifinal losers play for third place; the winners play for the championship.
Because of the agreement with Euroleague, officially announced on October 2009 and set to run until the 2011-2012 season, Mondo will supply all the equipment and accessories for the semi-finals and finals, including the wheeled oleodynamic installations complete with scoreboards, hoops and baskets, and the electronic apparatus essential for basketball competitions.
The Final Four rounds of Paris 2010 edition took place on Fast Break System 2 Wood and all scores, realized in Mondo Athens back stop units personalized with Euroleague look, were displayed on video scoreboards.
MONDO will also work closely with the Euroleague technical team in order to develop new products for future events, that will reflect its partner’s specific needs and image.
Furthermore, as Official Supplier, MONDO has taken part in the social responsibility campaign “Euroleague for Life”, the aim of which is to build a basketball gym in a deprived area of the city that is to host the Final Four.
