Mondoturf carpets are produced by weaving the Mondoturf NSF fibres onto a multilayer backing to which the fibres are then attached.
The Mondo Research Centre has developed specific techniques to improve the way in which the fibres are attached, enhancing their resistance to tearing and helping to resolve the problem of fibre loss
MONDO has developed an innovative multilayer polypropylene/polyester backing with advanced drainage properties.
The absence of holes means that water run-off is even, across the whole surface, and remains constant over time which drastically reduces the weakening of the backing.
The new Mondoturf backing complies with the stringent requirements of Italy’s professional and amateur football federations, the FIGC and the LND.
The fibres are thermo-bonded to the backing, a process that guarantees a tear-off force equal to that of the polyurethane coating.
