Mondo was founded in 1948 by Edmondo Stroppiana and his sons Elio and Ferruccio, today respectively Chairman and CEO of the Group.
Established as an artisan company, back in 1950 it has grown into a fully-fledged industry, supplementing the production of footballs - for various sports activities - with rubber flooring for civil, industrial and sports purposes. |

To date the company is not listed on the stock exchange and is privately held by the Stroppiana family, and thanks to the support of its younger generations, the family is still very much at the helm. One of the major strengths at the heart of the family’s entrepreneurial capability is its ability to exercise direct supervision over design, engineering and industrial realisation processes for all its products. |

The research & development activity is central to the company’s philosophy. Each year approximately 6% of the Group’s revenues are reinvested in projects developed by the Mondo Research Centre. Environmental impact is one of the research areas where Mondo is particularly active, as it seeks to eliminate the use of all harmful chemical substances, and to produce completely recyclable products. |
