Valdichiana Est Hospital, designed by Architect Zambelli, was realised using construction techniques of a mixed type, though for the most part the dry stratification method was adopted, an approach especially favoured by Architect Zambelli, who has focused most of his current research activity on this area. The flooring, whose colours were varied in order to facilitate recognition of the various wards, connected by sections indicating the said colours, are in Mondo rubber.

The city of Ancona has created a modern sports structure for indoor athletics. The new Ancona sports centre, inaugurated on 9 February 2005, is located in the Le Palombare district, next to the 8-lane “Italo Conti” athletics track – already flanked by a track for warm-ups, with changing rooms and stand. This is one of the largest permanent athletics structures in Italy. With seating for up to 1600 spectators, a large high technology six lane central track, it is a versatile facility that can host sports competitions on a regional, national and international, level in addition to events of a more social character.
