World Athletics U20 Championships

The World Athletics U20 Championships took place in Nairobi, Kenya from 18 to 22 August. These championships should have been held in Nairobi from 7 to 12 July 2020, but were postponed due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The scheduled competitions were 45 (22 male, 22 female and one mixed), in which 958 athletes from 116 countries took part (plus the teams of Authorized Neutral Athletes and Refugee Athletes) The event saw several records fall: four world U20 records, 15 championship records, 11 area U20 records, 68 national U20 records and 10 national senior records, 259 personal bests and the athletics track that hosted the event is supplied by Mondo: Sportflex Super X 720.
