The Aragonese capital makes history: the Príncipe Felipe Pavilion, fully equipped with the latest technologies in terms of sports flooring and electronic scoreboards

The Príncipe Felipe Pavilion in Zaragoza, the largest in the city and fully equipped by Mondo, is part of the history of Spanish and European sports. From today its legend will grow even further, as it will host the first of three consecutive games of the EuroLeague Women's Final Six that will be played in the city. This year, six teams are called to fight for glory in the tournament: CIMSA CBK Mersin (Turkey), Tango Bourges Basket (France), Beretta Famila Schio (Italy), ZVVZ USK Praha (Czech Republic), Fenerbahce Opet (Turkey) and Valencia Basket (Spain) who will compete until Sunday for the title. Mondo, sponsor of the competition, has supported this event with conviction, designing a customized scoreboard for the occasion and using its powerful and innovative Mondovideo Pro software.

The launch of the new version of Mondovideo Pro in Zaragoza will allow us to admire the great evolutionary leap made by this software: a renewed interface, with a cleaner aesthetic and completely customizable content, more animations synchronized with the game itself and new features, such as the ability to manage multiple screens with different resolutions simultaneously.

Final Six

The Final Six is the new format that the Euroleague is launching this season for its final phase. More games, more basketball, even more excitement. In addition, this will be the first time that a city hosts the Euroleague Women's Finals three times in a row, as Zaragoza will also host the tournament in 2026 and 2027. This achievement was possible thanks to the collaboration between the City Council of Zaragoza, the Government of Aragon, FIBA Europe and the Casademont Zaragoza club.

This afternoon, at 17:30, the first match of the quarterfinals of the 2025 edition will be played, between Beretta Famila Schio and ZVVZ USK Praha. The second match of the quarterfinals between CIMSA CBK Mersin and Tango Bourges Basket will be played at 20:30. The competition resumes on Friday with the semifinals: Fenerbahce Opet will face the winner of the first quarterfinal, while Valencia Basket will face the winner of the second quarterfinal. The competition will be decided on Sunday: the third and fourth place finals will be played at 17:00, while the grand final will start at 20:00.

Turkey's Fenerbahçe is a serious contender for the title after winning the Women's Euroleague twice in a row in 2023 and 2024. French team Tango Bourges Basket has won three such titles in its history (1997, 1998 and 2001). The other participating teams will compete for the first time to win this competition.

A sports pavilion equipped with flooring and sports equipment Mondo

The list of Mondo Smart Systems equipment present in the Príncipe Felipe Pavilion makes it a benchmark of the highest level in its commitment to cutting-edge sports technology. The structure is characterized by a large central four-sided LED cube that dominates the center of the court; four LED screens - with a surface area of 18 square meters each and a very high resolution thanks to their pixel pitch (distance between pixels; the smaller the distance, the higher the resolution) P5 - positioned in the corners of the pavilion; a “U”-shaped LED television that runs along the perimeter of the playing field, four-sided LED cubes for ball possession that crown the MondoAthens baskets and a large LED screen positioned outside the pavilion, in the ticket office area.

The versatility and connectivity of all these Mondo devices allow for their perfect synchronization. In addition, they can be used for multiple sports and to project all types of multimedia content, thus becoming new communication and marketing channels for both sporting events and other types of events, as this pavilion also hosts events such as concerts and exhibitions.

The company's signature is present both on the field, equipped with Fast Break System 2 wooden flooring, and on the stands of the pavilion itself, thanks to a system of retractable telescopic seats, which allows for increased capacity when necessary or to gain space on the field for specific events such as musical concerts. The rooms adjacent to the pavilion are also equipped with Mondo floors.
