THE MIRAMAS METROPOLE STADIUM BECOMES A PREPARATION CENTER FOR THE 2024 OLYMPIC GAMES
IN 2018 THE FACILITY CHOSE MONDO FOR THE BRAND NEW INDOOR TRACK
The Organizing Committee at the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, Paris 2024, has awarded the Stadium Miramas Métropole as a preparation center for the Olympics and Paralympics. After hosting the French athletics elite during the Elite and Jeunes Championships in Athletics, the Stadium finds itself on the international scene. Miramas "Land of the Games 2024" officially becomes a Preparation Center for the 2024 Olympics (for the Athletics and Badminton disciplines) and for Paralympics (Athletics).
After 10 years of innovative sports policy by the municipality of Miramas, the city was able to inaugurate the flagship of its sports arsenal in 2018; the Miramas indoor Stadium which can boast the qualification of the third largest stadium in Europe for athletics. What characterizes it are the dimensions and the spaces for the athletes, suitable for both training and competition moments: a 200 m track, the central straight lanes, the platforms for jumps, a throwing area and a 330m warm-up track under the stands (with another 120m track) all made with Mondo Sportflex Super X 720 sport surface and which make this structure a unique stadium of its kind.
