We are proud to once again be on track with the best athletes in the world for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025, which will take place in Tokyo starting on September 13.
A tradition that has continued for 13 consecutive editions and that, between the Olympics and the World Championships, has seen more than 310 world records achieved on Mondo tracks.
For us, it will also be a special opportunity to present the philosophy and essence behind our record-breaking tracks.
A philosophy we share with athletes of every level and nationality: “Push Beyond Limits.” Always.
This quote by Ferruccio Stroppiana, founder of Mondo, captures the spirit that has guided the company’s actions and choices from the very beginning.
A drive for improvement that has supported Mondo in becoming a global reference point of excellence, for both Federations and athletes.
“Push Beyond Limits”: a message not only born from us, but also from listening to over two hundred clients who helped define our new payoff: Mondo, push beyond limits.
From the beginning, our ambition has always been to be more than just a sports flooring manufacturer, but a true partner for athletes striving every day to surpass their limits.
This approach is embedded in Mondo’s athlete-centric design philosophy, the same one that led to the creation of the track for the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships.
Support. Inspire. Motivate to give one’s best and achieve dreams.
We are proud to have run, jumped, and thrown alongside the more than 260 million athletes worldwide who have used our surfaces.
It doesn’t matter the level. It doesn’t matter whether it is a world record or a personal one.
What matters is to keep pushing beyond.
Today, Mondo’s surfaces are considered the most advanced from a technical and technological standpoint.
This achievement has not happened overnight: Mondo began building it 75 years ago.
The key lies in firmly believing in innovation and technology, in the courage to venture into unexplored horizons, and in seeking to anticipate the future.
And if today we speak of predictive analysis, 3D modeling, and techniques such as the Finite Element Method (FEM), the truth is that technology is a valuable resource, but no progress would be possible without people ready to push beyond their own limits.
The merit of the level reached must indeed be shared with the more than 700 current and past employees, with Universities and Federations, and with athletes from around the world.
It is thanks to them that we have redefined the global standards of track quality and beyond.
It is thanks to them that today we can ensure safe surfaces for athletes, capable of enhancing every technical gesture up to extraordinary achievements.
As a global player, Mondo is aware of its responsibility towards the community and the planet.
In addition to supporting sport as a source of well-being, we believe that there can be no growth without respect for nature and the common good.
This is why the concept “Push Beyond Limits” also applies to the sustainable innovation journey we embarked on long ago.
We have not been satisfied with obtaining the world’s most authoritative certifications in sustainability or with being among the first manufacturers to develop an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for many of our sports surfaces.
We are not satisfied with continuing to reduce our impact year after year, by choosing sustainable materials and energy sources.
We continue to push beyond, and a clear and recent example of this philosophy is the special blend with seashells used for the track of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
A project we are proud of, as it allowed us to create not only a record-breaking track but also a circular supply chain that concretely reduces the impact of our surfaces. Today and tomorrow.
As we await the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships and new world records, we conclude, of course, with the invitation to always push beyond.
