During the July 18–20 competition, the country’s elite Paralympic track and field athletes will vie for their place on the world stage on the Mondo track at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida. The three-day event will be followed by a team naming celebration to announce the athletes who will represent Team USA at the Paralympic Games in Paris Aug. 28–Sept. 8.
In early 2024, Ansin Sports Complex was completely renovated, including installing a new Mondo Super X 720 track. The 400-meter track has an eight-lane oval, a nine-lane straightaway, and gray exchange zones. It is one of only five World Athletics Class 2 certified outdoor track facilities in the United States.
This is the second Mondo track for Ansin Sports Complex. When the $16 million, 24-acre, 5,000-seat athletic park opened in February 2009, it also featured a Mondo track surface. The state-of-the-art stadium was built specifically to help position Miramar as an international track and field destination. As a result, Ansin Sports Complex has hosted numerous prestigious competitions, including the Miramar Invitational in April 2024, April 2023, and April 2021, which were Silver events on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the 2022 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championship, the 2022 National Senior Games, and the 2019 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships.
