FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2025: La Palma partners with Mondo to host young European basketball stars

In Santa Cruz de La Palma, Roberto Rodríguez Estrello Sports Center chooses Mondoelastic wood flooring, an LED video scoreboard, basketball hoops, and various electronic equipment. Severo Rodríguez Pavilion in Los Llanos de Aridane also chooses Mondo Smart Systems solutions, including a large screen and LED cubes for ball possession.

The countdown to the best U18 women's basketball on the continent has begun in La Palma: from July 5 to 13, 2025, the Canary Island will host the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket.

Both tournament venues, the Roberto Rodríguez Estrello Multipurpose Pavilion in Santa Cruz de La Palma and the Severo Rodríguez Pavilion in Los Llanos de Aridane, have chosen Mondo solutions and products, from sports flooring to equipment.

With all the guarantees and reliability of Mondo products, La Palma is now ready to host matches between the best U18 women's basketball players from 16 countries.

Pabellón Roberto Rodríguez Estrello

With a capacity of 2,150 spectators, the Roberto Rodríguez Estrello Multipurpose Pavilion, located in the municipality of Santa Cruz de la Palma, has been completely renovated: Mondoelastic flooring with a beechwood finish, a large 15-square-meter LED screen, basketball hoops, LED possession cubes, a FIBA console, an autonomous control kit, electronic arrows, and illuminated frames.

In addition to its high quality, the choice of the new Mondoelastic sports flooring was marked by the Canarian authorities' commitment to environmental protection.

1,900 square meters of this areal-elastic surface have been installed in the facility.

The cutting-edge technology of Mondo Smart Systems solutions has become the new hallmark of the Roberto Rodríguez Estrello Pavilion, which features a large 15-square-meter LED screen, four-sided LED ball possession cubes for the baskets, and a standalone control kit that allows for easy and instant backup of Mondo Smart Systems control equipment, without the need for a computer or external controllers.

To host the international women's competition, which begins this weekend, this sports center also presented various basketball equipment, including a set of Mondocup hoops and FIBA consoles.

Pabellón Severo Rodríguez

The other venue that will host matches at this year's FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket is the Severo Rodríguez Pavilion in Los Llanos de Aridane, which has also been renovated for this important event. The venue, which already had a Mondo scoreboard, has chosen a large 15-square-meter Mondo Smart Systems LED screen and four-sided LED possession cubes, in addition to FIBA consoles.

Los Llanos de Aridane is already familiar with the quality of Mondo sports solutions, as both a soccer field and the city's four-lane athletics track bear the company's brand.

Sporting Legacy

Mondo's contribution to this basketball competition doesn't end there: in El Paso, where several teams will train, the court's scoreboard has also been repaired. Following the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Mondo's new flooring and sports and technology equipment at the Roberto Rodríguez Estrello Pavilion and the Severo Rodríguez Pavilion will create a first-class sporting legacy for La Palma. And not just for basketball, as both venues host multiple sports.
