Mondo produces an outstanding performance in Paris

Mondo’s Sportflex™ Super X 720 athletics track was a crucial part of an evening of spectacular athletics action at the Paris Diamond League meeting

The 2026 Diamond League reached its halfway point in Paris, and the Sportflex Super X 720™ athletics track in the French capital’s Stade Charlety helped produce the best meeting of the series so far this year.

In front of a capacity crowd of over 18,000 fans, and despite the super-hot and sultry weather, the Mondo athletics track lived up to its reputation as a superb surface for all seasons.

It delivered an outstanding performance in challenging conditions to complement the thrills and excitement provided by the athletes.

The list of superlatives from the athletes in Paris included:

  • 4 meeting records
  • 8 national records
  • 35 personal bests

Highlights included:

  • Swotzerland’s Audrey Werro produced a stunning 800m run of 1:53.80 to improve her own Diamond League and national records as well as clocking a world-leading time.
  • Botswana’s Collen Kebinatshipi and Dominican Republic’s Marileidy Paulino impressed hugely when winning their 400m races in Diamond League records of 43.54 and 48.48 respectively.
  • US hurdler Jamal Britt flew over the barriers to improve his 110m hurdles best to 12.89 and move to equal eighth on the all-time list for the event.
  • Canada’s Marco Arop decided to audaciously chase the 800m world record and although he faded slightly in the final 100 metres, he still clocked a world-leading 1:41.84.
  • Pole vault star Mondo Duplantis returned from his honeymoon and also returned to winning ways with the Swede clearing a world-leading 6.13m before three attempts at a world record height 6.32m.

A Diamond League dominated by Mondo athletics track

This year sees no less than eight of the 15 Diamond League meetings, across three continents, staged on Mondo athletics tracks including the final in Brussels on 4th-5th September.
