Premier Padel Andalucía Málaga P1 kicked off at the Palacio de los Deportes Martín Carpena, which will be the beating heart of world padel until July 14.
With over 15,000 tickets sold, the capital of the Costa del Sol confirms its status as a key stop on the circuit. To host the tournament matches, three professional courts equipped with Mondo Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf for padel courts have been set up.
For the second consecutive year, the Martín Carpena Pavilion will once again host the Andalucía Málaga Premier Padel P1. Equipped with three Premier Supercourt X3 artificial turf padel courts, the competition will take place from July 13th to 20th. There will be no shortage of excitement, as well as local talent: among the top 100 players are eight players from Málaga (Bea González, Marta Caparrós, Ana Varo, Carolina Navarro, Lucía García, Alba Pérez, Natividad López, and Carmen Castillón). The men's team is no exception: of the top 100, six were born in the province of Malaga (Momo González, Álex Ruiz, Jairo Bautista, Fran Guerrero, Curro Cabeza, and José Solano).
Málaga P1 matches will be supported by Mondo, both for the synthetic turf of the padel courts and for the equipment in the pavilion itself, as the Martín Carpena is fully equipped with Mondo Smart Systems technology. Its large central cube and two 18-square-meter LED screens located at each end of the court will not only provide information, but will undoubtedly contribute to bringing padel to the highest level.
Meanwhile, the iconic Palau d'Esports Catalunya, with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, dominates the Olympic ring in the Campclar area of Tarragona. Between July 27 and August 3, it will host, for the first time in its history, a Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour event: the Cupra Costa Daurada Tarragona Premier Padel P1. This competition is the second P1 of the season to be held in Spain and the fourth of six Premier Padel tournaments our country will host this year. Among the big stars competing in the Catalan city is Ariana Sánchez, a local icon who sits atop the circuit rankings alongside her partner Paula Josemaría.
Palau d'Esports de Catalunya in Tarragona already boasts Mondo quality products, being equipped with four large Mondo Smart Systems LED screens, each measuring 15 square meters. Located at the corners of the pavilion, each of these displays boasts extremely high resolution thanks to a P6 pixel pitch (the smaller the distance between pixels, the higher the resolution). The screens are mounted on stands that allow for angle adjustments of up to 10 degrees.
All the yarns of the Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf used for padel are textured, which means they retain the sand on the court, preventing it from spreading unevenly across the surface or accumulating during play. These properties are complemented by maximum comfort, safety, and a spectacular aesthetic.
With Premier Supercourt X3, players experience a feeling of complete safety and confidence in their movements, while also reducing the risk of injury. The grip level also significantly improves shock absorption, stability, traction, and balance during play.
And if summer in Spain is associated with tranquility, Mondo's Premier Supercourt X3 sythetic turf which will be the star of the event in Malaga, will disrupt any calm and keep players and spectators on the edge of their seats: the speed of play offered by this synthetic turf surface for padel is confirmed by its classification in the ITF Category 5, the highest, which confirms its status as a fast court.
After the events in Malaga and Tarragona, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour 2025 will begin its summer break, but its return will not leave Spain: Premier Padel Comunidad de Madrid P1 will be held between September 2nd and 7th.
There are still major events on the calendar, such as the Majors in Paris and Mexico City, and the highly anticipated P1s in Milan and New Giza, among others.
At the end of the year, the circuit will return to Catalonia for the most important event of the season: the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals, which will also be held in Barcelona, on Mondo synthetic turf for padel courts, between December 8th and 14th.
