At the heart of the "Illumina Caivano" project was a clear message: transforming degradation into opportunity. Promoted by the Italian Government in response to serious news events that deeply affected public opinion, the project aimed to redevelop the territory through sport, culture and civic participation.
The role of Sport e Salute, the operational supporter of the project and protagonist in the management and implementation of the works, was fundamental to the concrete implementation of the interventions.
Caivano, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Naples, was at the center of national attention after a series of dramatic events that also involved minors. The "Caivano Decree" represented the institutional response to these emergencies, providing for structural and social interventions aimed at restoring dignity and hope to a wounded community. Among these, the rebirth of the Delphinia sports center has established itself as an exemplary work of urban regeneration.
Mondo sports floorings were chosen in 2024 to redevelop the sports center, thanks to its quality, safety and performance. For padel courts, STX, a synthetic turf surface was adopted, a sport flooring that ensures optimal playability and comfort. STX system stood out for its ability to absorb shocks and for its resistance to wear, essential characteristics for a highly frequented facility.
Inside the indoor multisport gym, Vinylsport M sports flooring was installed: a multifunctional vinyl flooring ideal for a wide range of sports, school and recreational activities. This product combined excellent technical performance with great ease of maintenance, meeting the needs of a multipurpose facility designed for daily and intensive use.
The five-a-side football pitch was also redeveloped with a Mondo product: Saturn synthetic turf surface, designed to guarantee high performance, durability and safety, perfect for the dynamic and continuous game of five-a-side football.
