Madrid: Holloway breaks 60m hurdles world record

On a Mondo track

After 27 years the world record of 60 hs indoor collapses on the permanent elevated track installed by Mondo in Madrid (see the facility here)
In the final stage of the World Tour Gold, the American Grant Holloway managed to do one hundredth better (7"29) than the British Colin Jackson who in 1994 had set him at 7"30.
Gudaf Tsegay  who holds the new 1500m indoor record beaten a few weeks ago in Lievin, again on a Mondo track, produced the third-fastest 3000m time indoors when she crossed the line in 8:22.65, making her the second-fastest indoor performer in history.
