On the this track two European records were broken: 1000m (W) and 5000m (M).
The protagonists were Maria Mutola and Mo Farah; particularly for Mo this was his last effort of its huge indoor sports career. Here are his words after the race:
“I can’t quite believe it is my last race but.. it is something that must come to an end. It is weird thinking about it... in particular
on this track where I have broken so many records.”
