The Base Rail is 1880 mm long, 540mm wide and 80 mm tall. It is made of hot rolled steel profiles and is equipped with perforated plates to anchor it to the ground.
Graduated bars at the top and on the side of the base rail allow adjustment of the upright support longitudinally with respect to the pole vault box.
The Upright Support is the element that moves longitudinally along the base rail, and that holds the upright. It is made of hot and cold rolled steel profiles and plates. It is provided with adjustment wheels allowing both lateral and vertical adjustment with respect to the base rail. It is moved along the base rail through a pulley system operated by an electric motor. When it reaches the position chosen by the athlete, the motor itself locks the system preventing the support from moving along the rail. The motor can be disconnected allowing manual operation in the event of a motor failure.
The vertical adjustment wheel serve as brake to secure the support to the base rail, and keeps it locked in the desired position.
The Upright is made from an extruded aluminium profile of octagonal cross section with 150 mm diameter. It houses all the mechanisms required to adjust the height of the crossbar support. All internal elements are made of aluminium, bronze or stainless steel to prevent corrosion.
The crossbar support moves automatically due to an electric motor placed on the side of the upright. This motor, through a pulley system located inside the upright, moves a nylon element that slides along the upright. The motor can be disconnected allowing manual operation in the event of a motor failure.
At the top, integrated with the end cap of the upright, is an automatic belt tension adjuster which allows the absorption of tensions that might be induced by changes in temperature.
The crossbar can be adjusted from a minimum height of 1.70 m to maximum height of 6.45 m.

The system, consisting of two uprights, has two operating modes: manual and automatic.
In automatic mode the system must be connected to a power supply and to a computer, included in the package. All operations and controls are controlled through the Mondo Motor Manager software, also included in the package.
When the program is launched the system is automatically calibrated.
The calibration automatically compensates for the possible difference of ground elevation between the two uprights, as well as the deformation in the central part of the crossbar. This deformation may vary depending upon the temperature and shocks the crossbar can be subjected to, so it is recommended to recalibrate the system periodically.
Once the desired height is entered, a command activates the motors. The system communicates in real time the position of the crossbar. The minimum height allowed is 10 cm above the maximum calibration level, and the maximum height is 6.25 meters.
The crossbar can be lowered without changing the height selection. This function is especially useful to reposition the crossbar on the supports after the athlete has knocked it down.
It indicates the horizontal displacement of the uprights in centimeters (0 / + 80 cm), as required by the athlete.
The control is performed by the use of the Mondo Motor Manager software, which has an integrated database where one can store the preferences of each athlete.
The display, which is Mondo’s own design, is made of an extruded aluminum profile 2.0 mm thick. After a degreasing treatment, consisting of a pressured phosphate bath, the display is painted with polyester powder paint and polymerized at 200° C in an oven. The display is composed of two 17 cm tall digits, made of 120 Degrees high-brightness yellow LED SMD diodes. The digits are protected by an assembly consisting of a perforated aluminum sheet and an opaque, anti-reflective polycarbonate sheet, ensuring good visibility even in the event of direct sunlight.
The display is equipped with a built-in automatic brightness control with three levels according to ambient brightness.
The display operates if connected to a power outlet or with batteries, with a maximum power consumption of 65W. The battery pack is inserted into the display; connection and disconnection occurs automatically by inserting and removing the power supply cable. The charging process is also automatic and uses a battery charger located inside the indicator. The average battery life is 10 hours. An internal charging indicator shows the status of batteries.
It comes in a “carrying case” for easy transport and protection. It is equipped with a removable aluminum support. It is fully functional even in adverse weather conditions.
