After over 40 years of dedicated service at Mondo, Andrea Vallauri will be retiring at the end of 2024. Santiago Sanchez will succeed Andrea Vallauri, his role and responsibilities will expand to include the management of International Relationship and Sporting Events, continuing the tradition of excellence.
Andrea's notable career began at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, starting a long-term involvement with the Olympics. He has contributed to numerous national and international sporting events, including 11 Olympic editions up to Paris 2024.
Andrea played an instrumental role in building relationships and promoting Mondo worldwide. His efforts significantly contributed to our brand's global presence through strong connections with key stakeholders within the sporting community.
Succeeding Andrea is Santiago Sanchez, who brings over two decades of experience in the sports industry, specializing in sport flooring and equipment. Originally from Spain, Santiago managed various Sports Business Units for Mondo in Europe and collaborated with Andrea during the Olympic cycles of Athens, Beijing, and London. Now based in Miami to oversee Mondo's Sport Division in Latin America, Santiago has driven growth and innovation, expanded into new markets, and supplied cutting-edge technology for major events such as the Pan Am Games and the Olympics. He holds an Honors Degree in Sports Sciences from INEFC University of Barcelona/Lleida and a Master's in Sport Business Administration.
