Mondo Duplantis, Sweden has once again pushed the limits of pole vaulting, clearing 6.27m* and achieving the 11th world record of his career at the All Star Perche event in Clermont-Ferrand, part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver circuit, this Friday (February 28). The event organisers have chosen a removable modular solution from Mondo for setting up the pole vault lane: the athletics track is Sportflex Super X 720.
The Olympic and world champion added another centimetre to his previous record of 6.26m, set in Silesia last August, also on Mondo athletics track. The athlete cleared 6.27m on his first attempt.
Greece’s Emmanouil Karalis secured second place with a national record of 6.02m, while an unprecedented six athletes have cleared 5.91m or more in a single competition.
