The best padel in the world, back in Spain: Premier Padel Comunidad de Madrid P1 is being played on Mondo's Premier Supercourt® X3 artificial turf
The Wizink Center has been equipped with four courts with Mondo's new turf surface for padel. The current event of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour circuit is being played until September 8.
The summer holidays are coming to an end but the best padel in the world is back: the Wizink Center in the Spanish capital is hosting the Premier Padel Comunidad de Madrid P1. The competition is being played on four courts equipped with Mondo's new Premier Supercourt® X3 artificial turf surface. The tournament, whose finals will be held this Sunday, brings together the best players in the world in Spain once again on Mondo playing sport surface, which is the official turf of this tournament, of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour circuit and of the International Padel Federation (FIP).
Premier Supercourt® X3 artificial turf system, is the first on the market to combine three different textured filaments (XNOVA, XOMEGA and XDELTA). This playing surface guarantees greater control over friction, a uniform bounce across the court and an extraordinary aesthetic appearance. One of the most notable new features of this turf system is its excellent grip: with Premier Supercourt® X3, players have a total feeling of safety and confidence in their movements, while also reducing the risk of injury. The new grass also significantly improves shock absorption, stability, traction and balance during play.
The combination of the three filaments that make up the system further improves the resistance of this artificial grass - tested in rigorous stress tests - and provides greater elastic memory capacity thanks to the different thicknesses and morphologies. The textured filaments act as springs, minimizing surface wear and improving appearance.
Premier Padel Comunidad de Madrid P1 is the third event on the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour calendar to be held in Spain. The first competition held in the country was the Premier Padel Andalucía Sevilla P2 (between 28 April and 5 May), followed by the Premier Padel Andalucía Málaga P1 (between 6 and 14 July). In mid-September, the Valladolid Premier Padel P2 will take place. Premier Supercourt® X3 artificial turf system will also be present again at the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals in Barcelona (18 - 22 December), a special final season-ending tournament that will pit the eight best male and female pairs against each other.
The current Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour calendar still has many international events to tick off before the grand finale in Barcelona. This month, the Greenweez Paris Major Premier Padel (from 28 September to 6 October) will also be played on Premier Supercourt® X3 and in a spectacular setting: the Roland-Garros Stadium. The second half of the year will also include the Netherlands, Sweden, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Mexico and Italy.
