Glamour and padel: Milan's Allianz Cloud will be decked out in style all week long with a luxurious outfit: Premier Supercourt X3. The Italian fashion capital will host a new high-level event on the Qatar Airways Premier Padel circuit until Sunday: the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1.
This will be the fourth consecutive edition in which the world's best players will compete on Milan's turf. The cheering crowd will certainly be there: last year's event attracted over 32,000 spectators.
Top pairs such as Coello-Tapia, Chingotto-Galán, Brea-Triay, and Josemaria-Sanchez will compete this week on Premier Supercourt X3, the official turf of the tournament, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel circuit, and the International Padel Federation (FIP).
The playing surface installed at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Mondo's Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf, offers excellent athletic and technical performance, ensuring greater friction control and a consistent bounce across the entire court. All its filaments are textured, which means they trap sand, preventing it from spreading unevenly across the surface or accumulating during play.
With Premier Supercourt X3, a padel surface designed by Mondo specifically for this sport, players feel completely safe in their movements, reducing the risk of injury. The grip level also significantly improves shock absorption, stability, traction, and balance during play.
The speed of play offered by this synthetic turf surface is confirmed by its Category 5 ITF classification, the highest, which confirms its status as a fast court.
Milan is the Italian capital of fashion, but also of padel: of the 1.5 million players who practice this sport in Italy, over 400,000 are in Lombardy, and half of them live in Milan. It's no surprise that Lombardy is the region with the second highest number of padel courts in Italy. And the sport continues to grow in Italy, a country that already has more than 10,000 courts, a 110% increase compared to 2021.
"On our calendar, only large cities can host a P1 tournament, and Milan will always be one of them. Major tournaments like the one in Milan aim to ignite the passion of young people, introduce them to this sport, and help them become the champions of tomorrow," said Luigi Carraro, president of the International Padel Federation (FIP), at the presentation of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1.
Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 is the second tournament this season to be held in Italy, following the BNL Italia Major Premier Padel in Rome, held in July at the Foro Italico. Like the Milan event, this high-level event was held on the Premier Supercourt X3 synthetic turf.
The Milan event also marks the start of the final phase of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour 2025. In October, the New Giza P2 will be held in Egypt, followed in November by two new tournaments: the Dubai P1 and the Mexico Major, which will be held in Acapulpo. Between December 8th and 14th, the highly anticipated Premier Padel Barcelona finals will close the season, again on Mondo synthetic turf, to crown the new kings and queens of the sport.
