As opposed to the traditional latex-based fixing techniques, after having been woven onto a double-layer polypropylene backing the Mondo fibres are affixed to the support with a polyurethane coating.
This process ensures greater tear resistance of the filaments because polyurethane, as compared to latex, penetrates the fibres more evenly and is more uniformly distributed.
Furthermore, polyurethane’s properties remain unaltered over time, even in extreme weather conditions. It does not crumble or deteriorate and, thanks to its reduced weight, transport and installation of synthetic turf is facilitated.
