Larissa Iapichino takes the cover: the long jumper lands at a sumptuous 6.80 (+0.7), the second Italian ever. This measure, in addition to representing the Italian under 20 record, brings her to second place on the seasonal world lists. Filippo Tortu wins the 100m challenge: the Italian record holder wins in the final with a time of 10.12 (+1.3) and leaves Marcell Jacobs (10.14) and Fausto Desalu (10.29) behind. More with a positive debut for Davide Re in the 400 meters, with a 45.31 which represents the best time trial in the world in 2020 and his best debut ever.Great Britain’s reigning world indoor 60m hurdles champion Andrew Pozzi ran a world-leading 13.30 in the 110m. Other highlights in Savona were provided by Leonardo Fabbri, who won the shot put with an impressive 21.15m, and Bulgaria’s evergreen Ivet Lalova-Collio, who produced a quick 23.13 in her first race of the year, the second fastest 200m time by a European so far this year.
